Case Studies > Mr & Mrs Croudace
This property is in the middle of a row of three cottages, all of which still have the original timber windows with unusual decorative bar layout to the sliding sashes.
What did they choose?
Two sash windows and an entrance door were installed in the property. The sash windows have decorative astragal bars that replicate the original design and display an off-white painted finish. The entrance door has a dual colour painted finish with off-white internally and Oxford Clay externally.

‘Replacing windows and doors is an expensive business and our situation was further complicated by being in a conservation area, so we visited a number of showrooms and looked at lots of products. Watchet Glass and Glazing have a salesperson who is not only extremely knowledgeable, but courteous and straightforward to deal with. It has to be said, this was not our experience everywhere. When it came down to a final decision, we valued his direct approach and trusted his judgement. And we were not disappointed!’
‘We needed windows and a door that were suitable for use in a conservation area. Of the wide range of windows and doors looked at, the timber windows products were definitely the best in terms of both construction and appearance. The technical specification was impressive and the quality of workmanship was high. Whilst not the cheapest, the timber windows products were clearly in a class of their own’
